NEW STORIES ARE BEING TOLD.
"I applied for the Emmanuel House while in jail. I knew they would be the only shot I had if I wanted to stay sober. When I got to the Emmanuel House, I was shown so much love and support, I never knew how much a good support could do for you. While there we had parenting classes; they helped with me getting visits with my kids, which we never thought I’d have a chance at. While being there, I started and graduated college, got an amazing career, and learned to be productive member of society. If it wasn’t for God and the Emmanuel House, I wouldn’t be the mom, sister, or friend I am today."

"I'm a recovering drug addict who came into this program so lost, defeated, alone, and traumatized. The Emmanuel House showed me how to live life, get my own home, save money, get my license back, pay off four different case court fines, keep a job for the longest I ever have, and give my child everything she could possibly need or want. I dealt with unresolved trauma and worked towards becoming the opposite of the old me. The Emmanuel House is the whole reason I was able to carry, give birth to, and have my Isabella Ruth with me. She saved my life; this program saved my life, by the grace of God. The people in this community are so kind, loving, and unlike anyone I've ever met. Taylor Malone (Director) was the light in my darkness. The Emmanuel House is and always will be my family. I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to be part of this life-saving, dream making program."

"In 2022, I went to jail 6 different times. My last booking experience made me realize I was tired of living that life and needed to make a change. Within the first week of being in jail, I had submitted several applications to different rehabs. In November 2022, I was interviewed by Taylor Malone and accepted to The Emmanuel House. I am truly grateful I was accepted because they not only helped with my recovery but, most importantly, helped me get my children back. Since living in The Emmanuel House, I have been able to rebuild the relationships with my family and gain full custody of my kids. The biggest blessing was building back my relationship with God. I cannot express enough how important it is to have a healthy relationship with God. I want to thank everyone who has prayed, supported, and believed in me through everything. Without God and each of you, I know I would not be alive today."

"Before coming to The Emmanuel House, I never thought I would be able to get clean, stay clean, and actually live a normal life. I started using drugs when I was 15 years old; before I knew it, I had became someone I didn’t even know anymore. I did not even recognize the person I was looking at in the mirror! I had done things I swore I would never do due to my addiction and lost everything and everyone that was important in my life. I had became so miserable and so tired of being sick and tired that I did not even want to live anymore! Three years ago, I was sentenced to a year in jail and ordered to go through drug court and The Emmanuel House program. I will never be able to explain how grateful and thankful I am for this opportunity. I now have a full time job, a car, my own house, an amazing relationship with my kids, positive sober friends, and, most importantly, a relationship with Jesus Christ. I can now look in the mirror and be PROUD of the person I am today and truly feel HAPPINESS. I cannot wait to see what the future holds and am so blessed to be living life, three years clean!"
